A company is looking for an Outpatient Hospital Coder. Key Responsibilities Abstract and code ICD-10 diagnosis, HCPCS codes, and CPT procedural codes from various hospital case types Support revenue integrity by reviewing posted charges for accuracy and resolving coding validation and claim edits Review coding edits and assign modifiers based on billing regulations Required Qualifications Associate degree or two years of college coursework in Health Information Management or equivalent work experience AHIMA credentials: RHIT, RHIA, CCS, or CCS-P, or AAPC credentials: CPC, COC, CRC, CPMA Experience as an Apprentice Hospital Coder for no less than 12 months is acceptable Preferred experience in a pediatric acute care setting
