Onsite Urology Coder This role supports physician‑side coding for urology and urogynecology services within an outpatient practice setting. It is a high‑priority, contract‑to‑hire opportunity with immediate interviews and structured, hands‑on training , ideal for candidates looking to expand their experience in both medical coding and practice operations. Location: Onsite – Hanover, MA Type: Contract‑to‑Hire ⏰ Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8.5‑hour shifts between 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM EST Pay: $21-27 upon hire Key Responsibilities: Code physician‑side urology and urogynecology clinic visits and surgical procedures Review medical documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance Support practice operations by assisting with: Insurance verification Determining and obtaining prior authorizations Communicating with insurance payers, clinic staff, and patients as needed Work closely with providers and internal teams to resolve coding and documentation questions Participate in hands‑on training with direct feedback from experienced leadership and coders Clinical Areas May Include: General urology Kidney stones Prostate cancer & prostatitis Hematuria Testicular and pelvic pain Vasectomy procedures Ureteropelvic junction obstruction Urogynecology conditions such as: Bladder pain Bowel dysfunction Bladder and vaginal infections Pelvic organ prolapse Systems & Tools: Athena (experience preferred) Specialty‑specific EHR platforms Planned transition to a unified EMR in the future Requirements: Active CPC or CPC‑A certification (AAPC) Experience in physician‑side medical coding or healthcare operations Working knowledge of ICD‑10‑CM, CPT, and HCPCS Urology or surgical coding experience preferred, but trainable candidates encouraged Strong attention to detail and documentation review skills Organized, adaptable, and receptive to feedback Team‑oriented mindset with willingness to learn established workflows Why This Role: Immediate interview availability and fast onboarding Structured training with real‑time support Client‑provided equipment and coding resources Opportunity to gain exposure beyond traditional coding duties Long‑term potential through contract‑to‑hire conversion
