Responsible for thorough review of clinical documentation, the full-time Kentucky Licensed Outpatient Coder will assign ICD-10-CM and CPT/HCPCS codes for billing and compliance while working remotely from 7 AM to 3:30 PM. Key responsibilities Review clinical documentation and diagnostic results to ensure accurate coding Assign appropriate ICD-10-CM and CPT/HCPCS codes and modifiers for various outpatient services Ensure compliance with internal and external reporting and regulatory requirements Required qualifications Current Kentucky licensure as an Outpatient Coder Experience in coding for emergency department, outpatient surgeries, and ancillary services Knowledge of medical coding guidelines and regulations Proficiency in coding software and electronic health record systems Certification from a recognized coding organization (e.g., AAPC, AHIMA) preferred
