To support the Revenue Integrity Department, the full-time Licensed Hospital Inpatient Coder will accurately assign ICD-10 and DRG codes to hospital inpatient services while ensuring compliance with coding guidelines and collaborating with providers to resolve discrepancies in a remote environment. Key responsibilities Accurately assign ICD-10 and DRG codes to hospital inpatient services in accordance with current coding guidelines and regulatory requirements Interpret office, operative, and procedure notes to assign codes and modifiers for compliance and optimal reimbursement Maintain a minimum coding accuracy rate of 95% through quality assurance and participation in audits Required qualifications High school diploma or GED 2+ years of medical coding experience Current AHIMA or AAPC Coding Certification(s) Experience with healthcare coding and documentation audits and appeals Ability to meet deadlines consistently and reliably
