Key responsibilities Abstract, code, and sequence clinical information from various medical records accurately Assign correct principal and secondary diagnoses and procedure codes, ensuring proper sequencing Maintain compliance with external regulatory requirements and track productivity to meet client-defined standards Required qualifications Must hold CIRCC, COC, CPC, or CCS certification Minimum of 3 years of acute care hospital outpatient surgical coding experience Expert knowledge in NCCI/OCE billing edits Experience with hospital CVIR coding and billing Strong understanding of coding conventions and rules established by relevant medical associations
