Job Description

To support a growing healthcare network, the full-time remote Nevada Certified Inpatient Coder will be responsible for preparing statistical reports, coding diseases and operations according to accepted classification systems, and maintaining indices in compliance with established policies and procedures. Key responsibilities Prepare statistical reports and accurately code diseases and operations Maintain coding indices according to established policies and procedures Ensure a minimum of 95% coding accuracy across various coding types including inpatient, outpatient, and ambulatory surgery Required qualifications Minimum of 3 years of recent inpatient and outpatient coding experience Credentialed as RHIT, RHIA, or CCS is required Graduate from an approved program by the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) preferred Demonstrated knowledge of ICD 9-CM/CPT coding and medical terminology Experience in an acute care setting is necessary
