To support the Health Information Management Department, the full-time Maryland Licensed Outpatient Coder will code and abstract medical records for outpatient services, working onsite with a day shift commitment from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. Key Responsibilities Codes and abstracts medical records for outpatient services following established guidelines Assists with coding and leveling emergency room cases and infusion cases as needed Reviews medical records to assign appropriate ICD-10CM/PCS or CPT codes for diagnoses and procedures Required Qualifications Formal working knowledge equivalent to an Associate's degree (2 years college) One (1) to three (3) years of relevant experience Certifications such as CCS, COC, RHIA, or RHIT are required
