Translating health care services into standardized codes, the part-time Ohio Licensed Outpatient Coder will work remotely to maintain timely coding and billing processes while collaborating with providers and clinical documentation specialists. Key responsibilities Translate outpatient health care services and procedures into standardized codes Maintain timeliness of coding, billing, and accounts receivable using Epic work quests Respond to documentation clarification requests and query providers for resolution of incomplete documentation Required qualifications Associate's or bachelor's degree in HIT/HIM, or high school diploma with AHIMA Coding Basics Program completion Proficient in ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding 1 year of outpatient coding experience Must pass internal coding test RHIA, RHIT, CCS, or CCS-P certification, or must obtain within 90 days of hire
