To support a Hospital Billing outpatient coding team, an experienced Outpatient Diagnostic Coder will work remotely on a contract basis, focusing on assigning accurate ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes for various outpatient services within an acute care hospital environment. Key Responsibilities Assign accurate coding for outpatient hospital services, including diagnostic imaging and therapy-related encounters Maintain coding accuracy and productivity standards, targeting 25 charts per hour for diagnostic and therapy coding Collaborate with coding leadership and participate in quality review processes as needed Required Qualifications Minimum one year of hospital outpatient (acute care) coding experience Experience coding in a Hospital Billing (HB)/facility setting Active coding certification (AHIMA preferred; relevant AAPC certifications considered) Ability to work independently and align with EST business hours
