Overview Review provider documentation and assign ICD-10-CM, CPT/HCPCS codes as appropriate based on official coding guidelines. Research and take action on any coding/claim edits. Focus on complex outpatient hospital based (Observation, Emergency Department, Wound, Ambulatory Surgery) and provider based complex procedural services (surgery, procedures, wound). Responsibilities Follow all coding policies, procedures and standard operating procedures. Use encoding software and reference materials to assign appropriate codes.
