Job Description

A company is looking for a Medical Coder (Pennsylvania resident). Key Responsibilities Review and analyze medical records to identify diagnoses and procedures for coding Translate diagnostic and procedural phrases into coded form using appropriate coding guidelines Communicate with healthcare providers to clarify documentation and ensure accurate coding Required Qualifications, Training, and Education High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED) required; graduate from a specialty training program preferred Minimum of 1 year of related work experience required One relevant certification from AHIMA or AAPC required upon hire Certification options include CCS, CCS-P, RHIT, RHIA, or CCA (with additional requirements) All certifications from AAPC are acceptable except for specific exclusions listed
