  • Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,319 - $1,466
  • Employment Type: On-Site (Dallas, TX)
  • Shift: 8 Hour Days • 5 shifts per week • 40 hours/week
  • Contract Duration: Temp-to-perm, 30 weeks
  • Start Date: June 1, 2026

Required Qualifications - Medical Coding
  • Minimum 1 year of professional medical coding experience (outpatient, professional fee, or low-acuity inpatient coding)
  • Proficiency with ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, HCPCS, and CPT coding systems
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and coding regulations
  • Demonstrated competency with coding software, EHRs, and computer applications
  • Ability to interpret clinical documentation and assign accurate diagnosis and procedure codes
  • Excellent communication skills for provider queries and cross-department collaboration
  • Required certification (one of the following):
    • RHIA (Registered Health Information Administrator)
    • RHIT (Registered Health Information Technologist)
    • CCS (Certified Coding Specialist)
    • CCS-P (Certified Coding Specialist - Physician-based)
    • CPC (Certified Professional Coder)
    • COC (Certified Outpatient Coder)
    • CIC (Certified Inpatient Coder)
    • CIRCC (Certified Interventional Radiology Cardiovascular Coder)
Key Responsibilities - Surgical & Revenue Cycle Coding
  • Analyze clinical documentation and medical records to assign accurate ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT, and HCPCS codes for vascular and orthopedic procedures
  • Perform professional fee and outpatient surgical coding with attention to coding compliance and payer requirements
  • Review and edit charges, reconcile billing issues, and correct inaccurate charges to support clean claims submission
  • Communicate with surgeons, providers, and clinical staff to resolve documentation gaps and provider queries
  • Collaborate with revenue cycle, billing, and compliance teams to ensure timely and accurate processing of coding edits
  • Maintain current knowledge of coding rules, payer guidelines, and regulatory changes (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS)
  • Support clinical documentation improvement (CDI) initiatives and contribute to continuous coding quality improvement
