A company is looking for a Coder I - Hospital Coding. Key Responsibilities Review medical record documentation and code diagnoses and procedures using ICD-10-CM and CPT4 coding conventions Ensure specificity of diagnoses and procedures for optimal reimbursement and compliance Abstract information from medical records and identify problem documents for correction Required Qualifications Completion of an accredited coding program or equivalent education and experience Minimum of 1 year of related work experience in abstracting and coding Certification required within 1 year (e.g., Certified Professional Coder - Apprentice, Registered Health Information Administrator) Knowledge of ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 coding systems Proficiency in MS Office
