Progress on your journey to success! ECLARO is currently recruiting for an Inpatient Coder in the Chicago, IL (Remote) area for one of our clients.

Strong medical center coding – particularly surgical.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Assigns ICD-10-CM-PCS and/or CPT-4 diagnostic and procedure codes to patient charts with accuracy and attention to detail.
Abstracts selected data items and enters them in 3M Encoder/Epic software with accuracy and attention to detail.
Completes UHDDS data abstraction as required.
Maintains a log of work performed.
Completes other assigned duties as directed by management.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge: CCS certification.
Minimum 4 years of experience in inpatient medical record coding.
Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy and physiology required.
Proficient in Windows applications, Outlook, WebEx, and other apps as needed to perform the role.
Skills:
Cooperates well with others.
Demonstrates strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Proficient with computer use and software applications.
Abilities:
Ability to concentrate on tasks at hand in an open, distracting environment and work independently, minimizing distractions in a private work-from-home space.
Ability to apply local, state, and federal coding guidelines with attention to detail.
Shift: Day, 5x8.5-Hour (08:00 - 16:30)
Job Duration: 6 months (with the possibility of contract-to-hire)
Pay Rate: $44.70 / Hour
