A company is looking for an Outpatient Acute Care Coder. Key Responsibilities Assign appropriate diagnostic and procedural codes to patient charts using ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT, and HCPCS Review hospital outpatient medical documentation to ensure proper coding, billing, and compliance Utilize encoder software to validate coding accuracy and meet medical necessity requirements Required Qualifications One to three years of experience in medical record coding in an acute care setting High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred AHIMA or AAPC certification required (e.g., RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC) Functional knowledge of EMR, encoder, and CDI tools Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
