Medical Coder LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a reputable healthcare organization in North Phoenix is seeking an experienced Certified Medical Coder to join their team. This is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in multi-specialty coding who is looking for long-term stability and flexibility after initial training. The hourly rate is up to $34/hr.
Key Responsibilities: - Accurately assign CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes for a variety of medical specialties
- Review clinical documentation to ensure coding accuracy and compliance
- Work closely with providers and billing teams to clarify diagnoses and procedures
- Ensure adherence to all federal, state, and payer-specific regulations
- Identify and resolve coding discrepancies or denials
- Maintain productivity and quality standards in a fast-paced environment
- Stay current on coding updates, regulations, and best practices
Qualifications: - Active coding certification required (CPC, CCS, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 5 years of recent medical coding experience across multiple specialties
- Strong knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding systems
- Experience working with electronic health records (EHR/EMR) systems
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
