Schedule: Full time, Monday-Friday
We are seeking an experienced Medical Coding Specialist to support a high volume ambulatory coding team as coding transitions in house. This is a fully remote contract role anticipated to last 2+ months, with potential to extend based on business needs.
Duties: - Accurately code high volume ambulatory encounters
- Utilize NextGen for daily coding activities
- Assign appropriate ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes
- Ensure compliance with coding guidelines and payer requirements
- Collaborate with billing and clinical teams to resolve coding questions
- Maintain productivity and quality standards in a fast paced environment
Requirements: - Active coding certification (CPC, CCS, or equivalent - required)
- Hands on, recent experience using NextGen (required)
- Ambulatory coding experience (required)
- Experience in one or more of the following specialties:
- Cardiology
- Orthopedics
- Vascular
- Radiology
- Radiation Oncology / Therapy
- Proven ability to manage high volume workloads with accuracy
- Strong attention to detail and consistency
- Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Comfortable meeting productivity and quality benchmarks

Pay Details: $26.00 to $34.00 per hour
