A company is looking for a Medical Coding Specialist II - Profee-Multi specialty. Key Responsibilities Utilize encoder, grouper software, and coding resources to determine appropriate ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes Maintain knowledge of National Correct Coding Initiatives, Local Coverage Documents, and Medicare guidelines to select appropriate codes Apply regulatory requirements and institutional guidelines in coding practices Required Qualifications, Training, and Education High School Diploma or equivalent and medical coding education required, or an active coding certification in lieu of education Associate's Degree in a healthcare-related field preferred 1 year of progressive coding experience required 2 years of progressive coding experience in multiple specialties preferred Various coding certifications required upon hire, such as CPC, COC, CIC, CCS, CCS-P, CCA, CRC, RHIT, or RHIA
