A company is looking for an Inpatient Hospital Coder. Key Responsibilities Codes and abstracts medical records of inpatients following established conventions and guidelines Groups codes to determine diagnosis-related groupings (DRGs-CMS and/or APR) Reviews medical records to determine physicians' diagnoses/procedures and assigns ICD-10CM/PCS codes Required Qualifications Formal working knowledge equivalent to an Associate's degree (2 years of college) One (1) to three (3) years of experience Certifications: CCS or CCA with 5+ years of experience, or RHIT or RHIA
