Inpatient Coder who thrives in high-acuity, fast-paced environments. This
Inpatient Coder role is built for professionals coming from large academic medical centers who are comfortable navigating complex workflows and delivering precise, compliant coding.
What's the job? - Assign ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS codes for inpatient records
- Abstract clinical data to support reporting and reimbursement
- Ensure accurate documentation and coding compliance
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to clarify documentation
- Maintain coding accuracy in complex, high-volume environments
- Adapt quickly to evolving workflows and client needs
What's needed? - CCS certification (required)
- 3+ years of inpatient coding experience
- Recent experience in an academic medical center (500+ beds preferred)
- Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM/PCS guidelines
- Ability to navigate complex cases and workflows
- Experience with Epic or Solventum (preferred)
