Job Description: This role is a replacement position supporting a growing surgical coding team. The individual will split time evenly between supervisory responsibilities and hands‑paced provider education and auditing. The environment is fast‑paced and dynamic, requiring flexibility and strong leadership skills. Key Responsibilities Serve as a Surgical Coding Supervisor (50%) and Provider Educator/Auditor (50%) Provide education, auditing, and compliance support to providers and coding staff Assist with unlisted CPT codes and complex surgical coding scenarios Develop and maintain Excel tools, PowerPoint presentations, and tip sheets Collaborate closely with the Surgical Coding Manager to support team needs Qualifications Active AAPC or AHIMA certification Strong surgical coding experience, including unlisted codes Experience with provider education and auditing Proficiency in EPIC and Optum 360 Strong working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and documentation tools Ability to multitask and thrive in a fluid, evolving role Excellent communication and teaching skills Team-oriented mindset with a flexible attitude Chart Types / Specialties Neurosurgery Thoracic Surgery Vascular Surgery Orthopedics / Sports Medicine General Surgery Gastroenterology Urology Dermatology ENT Ophthalmology Surgical Oncology Audiology Podiatry Wound Care Plastic Surgery Urogynecology Additional Details Schedule: Preferred daytime hours 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM Onsite/Remote: Remote (state‑restricted) Equipment: Addison‑provided Interviews: Virtual, interviewing immediately Perks Fully remote role (within approved states) Direct collaboration with leadership Exposure to diverse surgical specialties Opportunity to grow with an expanding healthcare system Addison Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
