Job Details The Integrated Enhanced Recovery (ERAS) GI Center of Excellence provides specialized care to patients with diseases of the liver, biliary tract, pancreas, and GI tract, as well as surgical trauma care.
The nursing department is a specialized unit caring for patients with varying levels of acuity. Progressive care unit experience is not required, but the opportunity for clinical advancement and career growth in the field of nursing is available.
Essential Functions Support the manager in enhancing the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice and delivery of care.
Assist with interview, selection, and supervision of nursing personnel.
Collaborate with the manager to ensure compliance with federal and state laws and regulations.
Rounds on patients, teammates, and physicians to gain insight into patient care and satisfaction.
Delegates elements of care to appropriate healthcare workers.
Assists in identifying expected outcomes and evaluating progress towards goal attainment.
Performs nursing care, assists with treatments, therapies, procedures, and administers medications as necessary.
Coordinates management of patient flow and staffing.
Physical Requirements Work requires walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, stooping, bending, pushing, and pulling. Must be able to lift and support the weight of 35 pounds.
Education, Experience, and Certifications Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing, current RN licensure, and minimum two years of nursing experience preferred. BSN required, and previous management experience is preferred.
