Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Florida Licensed Remote Coder will edit and review medical documentation to determine appropriate coding for surgical services, manage patient chart data entry, and serve as a coding resource for the team. Key responsibilities Edit and review captured charges and medical documentation for accurate coding and modifiers Communicate discrepancies in documentation with coding support staff and supervisors Assist with escalated coding questions and maintain open communication with the coding team Required qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent 2+ years of experience in physician-based coding for outpatient/inpatient and surgical procedures Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or equivalent coding certification Substantial knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS, and modifiers Proficiency with Microsoft software
