To support a growing healthcare team, the full-time Remote HCC Coder with CRC will review and code various medical records for reimbursement and compliance, ensuring adherence to federal regulations while maintaining accuracy and productivity standards. Key responsibilities Reviews and assigns appropriate codes to inpatient and outpatient medical records, ensuring compliance with federal regulations Abstracts essential data for quality improvement and communicates issues to the Clinical Coding Manager & Supervisor Maintains up-to-date knowledge of coding guidelines and resolves pre-bill edits and denials for assigned accounts Required qualifications High school diploma or GED required Must possess one of the following coding certifications at time of hire: HCS-D, CCS, CCS-P, CPC-H, CPC, or RHIT/RHIA with additional credential within one year One to three years of experience as a coder required Proficiency in computer skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Experience with an encoder and Electronic Medical Records preferred
