Seeking a dedicated professional, the full-time remote Emergency Department Profee Coder will accurately code medical records for urgent care and emergency room services while adhering to current coding guidelines and policies. Key responsibilities Accurately code medical records for all urgent care and emergency room services Follow current ICD-10 and CPT coding guidelines, applying modifiers as appropriate Maintain confidentiality and integrity of protected health information in compliance with HIPAA policies Required qualifications Minimum 5 years of coding experience in emergency department and urgent care settings Certification such as CPC, CEDC, CCS, CCS-P, RHIT, or RHIA Extensive knowledge of medical terminology and coding rules Strong familiarity with Cerner and Epic systems Experience with charging infusions and injections
