Seeking a dedicated Emergency Coder with Certification, the full-time remote position will focus on accurately coding medical records for urgent care and emergency room services while adhering to current coding guidelines and maintaining confidentiality standards.
Key responsibilities: Accurately code medical records for all urgent care and emergency room services
Follow current ICD-10 and CPT coding guidelines and apply modifiers as appropriate
Stay updated on new coding rules and maintain department production and quality standards
Required qualifications: Minimum 5 years of coding experience in emergency department and urgent care settings
Certification such as CPC, CEDC, CCS, CCS-P, RHIT, or RHIA
Extensive knowledge of modifier application and coding guidelines
Strong knowledge of Cerner and Epic systems
Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines
