Utilizing surgical coding expertise, the part-time Certified Surgical Coder - FL will review and analyze medical records to assign accurate diagnostic and procedural codes while working remotely to support billing compliance and revenue cycle performance. Key responsibilities: Reviews and analyzes medical records to assign accurate diagnostic and procedural codes Ensures compliance with coding guidelines and organizational policies Collaborates with healthcare providers to clarify documentation and resolve discrepancies Required qualifications: High School Diploma - Required Certified Professional Coder (CPC) - Required at time of hire 3+ years of experience in medical coding or health information management Knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding standards Experience reviewing medical records and assigning accurate codes
