This role supports a high-acuity, multi-specialty environment and is ideal for coders with strong experience handling complex inpatient cases.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform accurate inpatient coding across a wide range of specialties, including: Cardiology, Neurology, Surgical cases, Transplants, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), Additional complex inpatient casesAssign appropriate diagnosis and procedure codes in accordance with organizational, regulatory, and industry standardsMaintain timely and accurate coding in a fast-paced, high-acuity environmentConsistently meet established productivity and quality expectationsQualificationsCertified Coding Specialist (CCS) certification preferred; RHIT or RHIA credentials will also be consideredMinimum of three years of inpatient coding experienceStrong multi-specialty inpatient coding backgroundExperience working within an academic medical center or trauma facility preferredProficiency with Epic EHRExperience using the 3M encoderJ-18808-Ljbffr
