To support the revenue cycle operations, the full-time South Carolina Licensed Coder will accurately assign codes for inpatient, outpatient, and emergency service diagnoses and procedures in accordance with official coding guidelines while working remotely. Key responsibilities Assign accurate codes for all diagnoses and procedures based on patient medical records Ensure compliance with coding guidelines from relevant medical associations Collaborate with the Health Information Management Department to adhere to approved policies and procedures Required qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; certification in coding (e.g., CPC, CCS) preferred Basic knowledge of coding systems such as ICD-10 and CPT Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Good communication skills and a willingness to learn Expertise in using Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio
