Hospice CoderSeeking an experienced Hospice Coder to provide accurate ICD-10-CM coding and medical record review for hospice services. The coder will review clinical documentation, assign appropriate diagnosis codes, and ensure coding supports accurate reimbursement and compliance with applicable coding guidelines and client requirements.Position DutiesReview hospice medical records and clinical documentation for accurate and complete coding.Assign appropriate ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes based on supporting documentation.Review documentation necessary to support accurate reimbursement.Ensure coding is consistent with applicable coding guidelines and hospice documentation requirements.Maintain coding accuracy and meet established turnaround and quality expectations.Utilize client-provided systems and technology to complete coding assignments.Communicate coding questions or documentation concerns through the established escalation process.Minimum Required QualificationsPrevious hospice coding experience.Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM coding.Ability to accurately interpret clinical documentation and assign appropriate diagnosis codes.Knowledge of hospice documentation and reimbursement requirements.Relevant coding credential.Preferred QualificationsExperience coding within electronic medical record systems used in hospice.Demonstrated history of strong coding accuracy and quality.Experience working remotely in a production-based coding environment.Length of Assignment: 13 weeks initially. (Could be longer based on need) Shift / Hours Per Week: 8-hour daytime shift Systems: Experience with electronic medical record systems used for hospice coding is preferred.
