Job Description Medical Temporaries, Inc. is currently seeking an experienced ***Medical Biller/ Coder***. Minimum of 1+ years experience required Medical Temporaries is looking for an immediate temporary Medical Payment Posting Specialist with experience in EPIC (Financial) PB module. The ideal candidate will have experience accurately posting medical payments, adjustments, credits, and other financial transactions within a healthcare setting. This is a TEMPORARY position (estimated 4 weeks) requiring immediate availability Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm, located in Virginia Beach (23462). A Day in the Life of a Medical Biller/Coder Accurately post medical payments received from insurance companies and patients. Enter payments, adjustments, credits, deposits, invoices, and other financial transactions. Utilize EPIC to enter and maintain accurate financial and payment information. Review and correct transaction edits, posting exceptions, and system entry rejections. Maintain timely and accurate payment posting to support clean financial reporting and patient account records. Reconcile posted transactions against billing system reports, financial records, or other supporting documentation. Research and resolve payment posting discrepancies and elevate issues when necessary. Review payment information and ensure transactions are applied accurately to the appropriate accounts. Document financial notes, corrections, and account information clearly and consistently. Collaborate with internal departments to obtain missing information and resolve payment or account discrepancies. Maintain confidentiality and accuracy when handling patient and financial information. Follow established procedures and applicable financial, healthcare, and data privacy standards. Perform additional medical billing, payment posting, and business office duties as assigned. Requirements for the Medical Biller/Coder Previous experience with medical payment posting Previous experience using EPIC (Financial) PB module Strong attention to detail and accuracy Excellent organizational skills Ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities Strong computer and data entry skills Ability to accurately enter and maintain financial and patient account information Ability to identify, research, and resolve discrepancies Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling patient and financial information Ability to pass Background Check Immediate availability for a temporary assignment Preferred Qualifications for the Financial Entry Specialist Previous experience in a medical office, physician practice, hospital, or healthcare business office Experience with medical billing and revenue cycle processes Experience posting insurance and patient payments Experience reviewing payment information, adjustments, and account balances Previous experience working with electronic medical record or medical billing systems Benefits $18/hr-$22/hr (depending on experience level) Weekly Pay Direct Deposit Pay Medical Insurance Open communication and ability to contact a staffing specialist seven days a week.
