Detail-oriented and committed to excellence, the full-time Certified Medical Coding Auditor will conduct internal and external coding audits, develop and implement audit plans, and provide education programs for Health Information Management coding staff in a remote work environment. Key responsibilities Conduct internal and coordinate external coding audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with coding guidelines Develop and implement detailed audit plans and programs in response to changes in coding guidelines and new code implementations Analyze audit findings and provide corrective action plans while planning education programs for coding staff based on these findings Required qualifications Associate's degree in health information management or a related field, or equivalent experience Three years of experience in coding, audit, or denials coordination Certification such as RHIA, RHIT, CCS, COC, or CIC; new hires with CCA or CPC must obtain one of these certifications within one year
