Working remotely on a full-time basis, the Florida Licensed Physician Coder will edit and review medical documentation, determine appropriate codes for services rendered, and assist with coding inquiries while ensuring accurate data entry in electronic medical records. Key responsibilities Edit and review captured charges and medical documentation for coding accuracy Enter procedure codes and charges into electronic medical records, ensuring data accuracy Communicate discrepancies and assist with escalated coding questions from team members Required qualifications High School diploma or equivalent 2+ years of experience in physician-based coding for outpatient/inpatient and surgical procedures Current certification as a CPC, CPC-A, CCS, CCS-P, CCA, RHIT, or CBCS Substantial knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS, and modifiers for surgical procedures Familiarity with Microsoft software
