Job Description

To support accurate and compliant coding of outpatient medical encounters, the full-time Certified Coder will analyze clinical information to assign appropriate ICD-10-CM and CPT/HCPCS codes while working remotely. Key responsibilities Analyze medical records to assign diagnosis and procedure codes in accordance with coding guidelines Identify documentation gaps and initiate queries for clarification to ensure accurate code assignment Maintain productivity and accuracy standards while managing assigned work queues and resolving routine coding edits Required qualifications High School Diploma or GED Certification as AHIMA-CCA, AHIMA-RHIA, AHIMA-RHIT, AHIMA-CCS, AAPC-CPC, AAPC-CPC-A, AAPC-CIC, or AAPC-COC Experience applying ICD-10-CM and CPT/HCPCS coding for outpatient encounters Ability to review documentation and communicate effectively with stakeholders Familiarity with coding guidelines and payer rules
