Job Description

Assisting with coding audits and providing targeted education, the full-time Licensed Laboratory Coding Auditor will support Laboratory leadership in ensuring compliance and accurate code assignment while working remotely on a Monday-Friday schedule. Key responsibilities Conduct coding audits for Laboratory Coding & Billing Representatives and Pathologists, focusing on CPT, HCPCS, modifiers, and place of service coding Provide one-on-one and group education to team members and Pathologists regarding coding practices Compile and track audit statistics while serving as a senior coding resource for the department Required qualifications Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) certification from AHIMA Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification from AAPC Experience in laboratory coding and billing practices Ability to interpret and analyze billing data for performance monitoring Knowledge of current coding regulations and compliance requirements
