Handling medical coding and data entry for outpatient visits, the full-time Remote Emergency Room Coder will specifically code Emergency Room cases using the 3M 360 Encoder HDM to enhance the coding and billing process. Key responsibilities Accurately assign ICD-10-CM and PCS codes based on documentation and site-specific guidelines Create compliant physician queries and review claims for medical necessity Provide excellent customer service while floating between multiple coding specialties and sites Required qualifications 2-year degree or equivalent experience; AHIMA or AAPC certification is required Active credentials such as RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC, or COC Experience coding Emergency Room cases is required Experience working with 3M 360 Encoder HDM is required Meets or exceeds quality and productivity standards
