To ensure the quality of coded data, the full-time Virginia Licensed HIMS Coding Auditor will perform audits on outpatient and inpatient records, maintain coding compliance, and provide education to team members while working remotely. Key responsibilities Ensures coding compliance by applying guidelines and standards for accurate coding Identifies training needs and provides education, coaching, and mentoring to coding staff Performs focused reviews and quality audits, preparing reports for leadership Required qualifications High School Diploma or GED (Required) 5-6 years of Acute Care Inpatient and Outpatient Coding experience (Required) 2 years of Auditing experience in Acute Care (Required) Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) certification (Required) Associates Degree in Healthcare or related field (Preferred)
