To support a growing ophthalmology practice, the full-time Certified Medical Biller will accurately prepare and submit insurance claims, manage account balances, and ensure timely reimbursements in a fully remote environment. Key responsibilities Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies for ophthalmology, optometry, retina, and ASC services Track, review, and follow up on unpaid or denied claims, collaborating with insurance carriers to resolve payment issues Utilize CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes to ensure accurate and compliant claims submission Required qualifications Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in medical billing within ophthalmology, optometry, retina, and ASC settings Certified Professional Biller (CPB), Certified Professional Coder (CPC), or equivalent certification preferred Strong knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance billing practices Experience interpreting EOBs and working with payer-specific billing guidelines Proficiency in CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding
