Offering a full-time remote opportunity, the Emergency Coder - WA Licensed will perform coding and charge submission for emergency department services, ensuring compliance with coding guidelines and optimal reimbursement. Key responsibilities Review electronic documentation to identify billable procedures and assign appropriate ICD and CPT codes Ensure compliance of coded services and clinical documentation with relevant guidelines Collaborate with clinical staff to resolve coding and documentation issues and maintain turnaround times for coding tasks Required qualifications High school diploma or equivalent with three years of coding experience or relevant education Certification as a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), or other relevant coding certifications
