Managing the appeal of unpaid claims, the full-time Kentucky Licensed Appeals Coder will work remotely from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, collaborating with insurance carriers to resolve claims and providing feedback on coding errors. Key responsibilities Review and appeal unpaid claims daily Work with insurance carriers on appeal issues and ensure accurate payment is received Provide feedback to the coding department regarding coding errors or updates Required qualifications High School education or GED required Must have and maintain Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification or CCA, CCS, or CCS-P certification 3 years of prior coding experience preferred Prior experience working with medical insurance
