To support accurate billing processes, the full-time Kentucky Licensed Coder II will work remotely to abstract and assign CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCs codes while ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines and identifying educational opportunities related to coding accuracy. Key responsibilities: Accurately abstract information and assign appropriate codes into billing systems, ensuring compliance with established guidelines Identify and communicate deficiencies impacting the billing process and review denials for resolution Assist in training and mentoring staff while maintaining coding production and quality standards Required qualifications: High school diploma or GED/equivalent Three years of coding experience Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification from AAPC Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) or Certified Coding Specialist Based (CCS-P) certification from AHIMA Advanced knowledge of medical coding conventions and regulatory changes
