To support outpatient coding accuracy, the full-time Lead Certified Coder, Outpatient SDS-OBV will review records, validate diagnosis and procedure codes, and provide education and feedback to coding associates in a remote setting. Key responsibilities Review and validate SDS and OBV records for accurate coding in compliance with guidelines Conduct outpatient audits and maintain spreadsheets related to coding denials and audits Provide training and coding feedback to associates and leadership to enhance documentation practices Required qualifications High School Education/GED or equivalent AHIMA Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) certification Five years of experience in SDS/OBV coding and healthcare Working knowledge of hospital Cerner EMR (electronic medical record)
