TEKsystems is seeking an Intermediate ED Coder to review emergency department medical records and assign ICD-10-CM, CPT/HCPCS codes and E/M levels in line with ACEP guidelines and payor rules. Work from home on a contract basis based out of Houston, TX, handling ~100 charts per day across outpatient services.
You will analyze documentation from nursing, physicians, and laboratories, ensure charge capture, and participate in audits and process improvements while staying current with CMS/NCCI
