To support accurate billing and reimbursement, the full-time Same Day Surgery Coder will review medical records for outpatient surgical procedures and assign appropriate diagnostic and procedural codes (CPT and ICD-10) in a remote work environment. Key responsibilities: Apply coding classification standards and guidelines to ensure accurate coding of medical records Submit provider queries to resolve documentation discrepancies and perform quality assessments of records Abstract and assign ICD-10-CM and CPT codes for all diagnoses and procedures in outpatient and surgical settings Required qualifications: AHIMA/AAPC credentials At least three years of experience in same day surgery coding Experience with outpatient surgery and observation coding, including injections, anesthesia, and infusion Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Teams Ability to maintain a 95% quality accuracy rate and productivity standards
