Job Requirements - At least 1 year of coding experience in an outpatient or emergency department setting
- Experience coding outpatient ED encounters, including injections and infusions
- Working knowledge of EPIC and 3M360
- Strong understanding of coding accuracy, compliance, and productivity expectations
- Ability to complete required onboarding and training modules prior to full access
- Experience with ambulatory surgery coding is a plus for potential extension opportunities
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage a high-volume work queue efficiently
Responsibilities - Review and code outpatient emergency department charts accurately and efficiently
- Support backlog reduction efforts for a large volume of outstanding charts
- Code cases involving injections and infusions in accordance with coding guidelines
- Work within EPIC and 3M360 to complete assigned coding tasks
- Maintain productivity expectations of approximately 5-7 charts per hour
- Collaborate with the broader coding team to support workflow goals and project timelines
- Complete required training, including system and queue-specific education, before beginning independent work
- Follow established coding standards and organizational processes to ensure quality outcomes
