Seeking a motivated and experienced Certified Profee Coder, the full-time remote position will involve high-volume coding for a busy family practice clinic, including charges for HCC diagnostics and annual physical exams. Key responsibilities Analyze medical records to accurately code diagnostic and procedural information in compliance with national coding guidelines Abstract clinical diagnoses and procedure codes from medical records, ensuring completeness and accuracy Provide quality assurance for medical records to ensure compliance with coding rules and regulations Required qualifications At least 1 year of recent experience in E/M Family Practice coding Currently certified through AAPC or AHIMA as a Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or equivalent High school diploma/GED or equivalent specialized training in medical record keeping principles Six months of professional coding services or related healthcare experience Knowledge of ICD and CPT coding principles as demonstrated by certification
