Remote Pediatric Medical Coder

Job Description

To support a growing pediatric practice, the full-time Remote Pediatric Medical Coder will review patient records and clinical documentation to assign standardized codes for diagnoses and procedures, ensuring accurate reimbursement in a fully remote setting. Key Responsibilities: Review and code patient records, ensuring compliance with coding standards and maintaining a 95% accuracy rate Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to resolve documentation queries and improve revenue cycle practices Audit coding quality and participate in regular updates to maintain compliance with coding regulations Required Qualifications: 2-5 years of professional fee/revenue cycle coding experience or equivalent training Current coding experience in PICU and/or Neonatology Intermediate knowledge of medical terminology, CPT, and ICD-10 coding conventions Knowledge of federal, state, and commercial payer coding and billing standards Required certification such as CPC, CCS-P, CCA, CCS, RHIT, or RHIA
