Remote Interventional Radiology Coder

Job Description

To support a dynamic healthcare environment, the full-time Senior Interventional Radiology Medical Coder will remotely review patient records and clinical documentation to assign standardized codes for diagnoses and procedures, ensuring accurate reimbursement and compliance with coding regulations. Key Responsibilities: Maintain or exceed a 95% accuracy rate while coding complex procedures and managing daily work queues Collaborate with clinical teams to resolve documentation queries and ensure compliance with revenue cycle practices Conduct audits and analyze coding data to identify trends and improve coding efficiency and data quality Required Qualifications: 5+ years of professional fee/revenue cycle coding experience or equivalent training Hands-on coding experience in Interventional Radiology Advanced knowledge of CPT, ICD-10 coding conventions, and clinical documentation requirements Familiarity with federal, state, and commercial payer coding and billing requirements Required certification/licensure: CPC, CCS-P, CCA, CCS, RHIT, RHIA, or equivalent approved by FPRMO management
