To support healthcare documentation accuracy, the full-time Pennsylvania Licensed Medical Coder will review and analyze medical records, assign appropriate diagnostic and procedural codes, and ensure compliance with coding regulations while working remotely. Key responsibilities: Review medical records to identify principal and secondary diagnoses and procedures for accurate coding Translate diagnostic and procedural phrases into coded form using Encoder software and assign appropriate DRGs Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify documentation and assist in training new coding staff on guidelines and software Required qualifications: High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED) required Minimum of 3 years of relevant coding experience required One relevant coding certification from AHIMA or AAPC required upon hire Experience with DRG coding and hospital coding guidelines Proficiency in using coding software and electronic health record systems
