To support the Revenue Cycle department, the full-time remote Certified Health Information Coder will assign ICD and CPT codes for patients receiving ancillary and surgical services, ensuring compliant billing and data entry into electronic databases. Key responsibilities Assign ICD and CPT codes for patient accounts and abstract coded data into the information system Ensure compliance with billing procedures by assigning applicable APCs and CPTs for professional records Perform data entry into electronic databases for quality assessment, outcome analysis, and financial management Required qualifications Successful completion of an AHIMA or AAPC accredited Health Information Tech/Management or Coding program Certification as CPC, RHIT, or RHIA obtained through an accredited coding program At least 3 years of professional surgical case coding experience and 6 months of experience coding outpatient ancillary/surgical records Experience coding professional surgical cases within at least one specialty Proven skill with computers and computer systems
